CEO to CVO

Moving Your Company from Ordinary to Extraordinary

Imagine owning a company everyone wants. One that is truly valuable. It’s not easy. It takes commitment and sacrifice, but it is within your reach.

Imagine owning a company everyone wants. One that is truly valuable. It’s not easy. It takes commitment and sacrifice, but it is within your reach.

Creating that company everyone wants is about taking on the role of CVO or Chief Value Officer and building an extraordinary company. A sustainable, exciting, innovative, fun, and valuable company. A company that provides you with the rewards you have worked for and deserve. A company that provides you with options. A “Gotta Have” company.

Strategic Value and its Four Pillars is a powerful tool Joel developed to help his clients create companies everyone wants. It has enabled CEOs to become CVOs and create extraordinary companies with extraordinary company value. You will discover why Strategic Value is so important to building long term company value and what makes it unique. Joel shows you how to assess your company’s current Strategic Value, set your Strategic Value vision, and then how to build your Strategic Value acceleration roadmap to achieve that vision.

As the CEO or owner of a growing company, you will relate to and learn from the numerous stories of Strategic Value successes shared by Joel. If you want to create a “Gotta Have” business, one that everyone wants. If you are willing to become the CVO, to change your perspective, to start building value today, and to stop wasting time and money doing what is not creating long term value, then this book can be your guide as you transform your business from ordinary to extraordinary.

Content with a mediocre business?  If so, don’t read Joel’s book.  If, however, you are interested in maximizing corporate value – both today and at sale time – then I highly recommend “CEO to CVO”.   Joel has spent a lifetime helping CEO’s become Chief Value Officers and has distilled the lessons learned into this practical and highly accessible playbook for creating “Gotta Have” businesses — businesses that use the four pillars of strategic value creation to unlock their full potential.

In this exceptionally well-written book, Strom makes the powerful case that CEOs should see themselves as Chief Value Officers (CVOs).  It shows in great detail the key areas CEOs should focus on to lead their companies to become “Gotta Have” businesses.  Joel utilizes examples from his personal experience in creating significant value for company stakeholders both as a CEO and as an advisor to other CEOs to illustrate his points.  This is a must read for every CEO and business leader.

This book does a good job of thoroughly covering a topic important to all business owners and leaders in a way that makes it an enjoyable read. It presents a strong case for maximizing business value and for the things every CEO needs to be doing to make that happen, but unfortunately often fail to focus on in their regular daily routine.

About the Author

Meet Joel Strom

Joel is the founder of Chief Value Officers. His practice is focused on only one thing, helping CEOs accelerate their company’s Strategic Value and move their businesses from ordinary to extraordinary. He developed the concept and process of Strategic Value based on more than four decades of practical experience as a business owner, advisor, investment banker, and CEO. His clients have realized spectacular results working with Joel and following his value creation methods.

Besides his client successes, he owned and grew his own manufacturing company and founded successful growth and value consulting practices in both Ohio and Arizona. He recently completed a five-year period where he served as the CEO of a technical products manufacturing company. During his tenure as CEO and in his role as CVO, Joel led that organization through a remarkable transformation. Utilizing the concept of Strategic Value, he was able to maximize the enterprise’s value and secure its place as world leader in its industry. Once his mission with that company was complete, he decided to return to his passion of helping clients maximize their Strategic Value by founding Chief Value Officers.
